| Q. | Is this a two-way synchronization? |
| A. | Yes. Changes made in Point are synchronized in with ACT! and changes made in the mapped fields in ACT! are changed in Point each time you synchronize |
back | |
| Q. | Will this work with Point 4.3a? |
| A. | Yes. Some of the fields have changed (or have been added) with version 4.3 but you can adjust the field mapping to match. |

| Q. | What happens if both the Point file and the ACT! file are changed at the same time? |
| A. | You can change a setting that will decide what happens. You can either have the ACT! record overwrite Point, have Point overwrite ACT!, or don't synchronize conflicting records at all. This gives you the greatest safety margin. |

| Q. | What if my Point files are in the same directory with other loan officers'? |
| A. | You can specify which files get synchronized by the loan officer's name or the processor (or both). This allows you to only synchronize the files that belong to you. |

| Q. | What if I have more than one loan for the same borrower? |
| A. | You can select which file you want to synchronize by dragging the Point file and dropping it on the ACT! record. That way you don't get duplicate ACT! records. You can also turn off synchronization on any Point file you want. |

| Q. | Can I decide which Point files get synchronized? |
| A. | Yes. You can use the filters provided in the program or you can use the drag and drop feature that allows you to link specific Point files to ACT! records. This same feature allows you to turn off synchronization for any Point file you specify. |

| Q. | Is there a way to export an ACT! record to Point? |
| A. | If you create a new ACT! record, SyncPoint will NOT create a Point file. This is because we recognize you may keep more than just borrower records in Point. You don't want to create a Point file for your attorney, brother-in-law, and title officer. There is a way to export an ACT! record to Point but it is a separate process from SyncPoint. | Q. | What fields get synchronized? |
| A. | You can synchronize virtually any available Point field with any available ACT! field. There are certain fields in Point that aren't stored in the file. These are calculated fields that you probably don't want synchronized anyway (like the payment schedule). We give you some pre-defined maps but you can create your own. You decide what fields go where. |

| Q. | What if I have a specially designed ACT! database like Greg Frost ACTion!? |
| A. | No problem. If you have an ACT! database that is in one of our predefined maps, you don't have to do anything. Just select that map and go. If you have an ACT! database that isn't in one of our maps, you can design your own map by simply dragging and dropping fields. |

| Q. | Can I map more than one field to the same field in ACT!? |
| A. | Yes. You can map up to 2 fields to the same field in ACT!. This works well for fields like first name and last name where ACT! has a "contact" field. |

| Q. | Can I download pExport? |
| A. | Yes. Once you have ordered and payment is confirmed, you will receive an e-mail with a link and username/password so that you can access the complete download. |
| back | |
| Q. | What if I don't want to synchronize right away? |
| A. | You don't have to. You synchronize whenever you're good and ready. SyncPoint doesn't run automatically. You decide when it should run. |
